Meet Our Staff

As the Principal of UCG Universal Consulting Group Ltd., Paul is a Registered Engineering Technologist with ASET. Paul has worked with all major engineering disciplines, some of which have been ongoing for over 30 years. His knowledge of building systems and current standing as a safety codes officer ensures a holistic and integral design in every project.

Paul also has extensive personal experience in general contracting and project administration. Recent milestones are the completion of the Thorpe Recovery Centre in Blackfoot, Alberta a 20 million dollar addictions treatment centre in 2011 and a 3 million dollar three storey medical centre in downtown Lloydminster, completed in December 2015.

With over 30 years in the construction field, including 22 years in building design, Kevin has worked on or designed a wide variety of buildings including; single-family homes, mid-sized commercial buildings, i.e. schools, offices, shops, sports facilities, Auto and Ag Dealerships including the new Lloydminster Hyundai.

Tony Yue, a local resident and registered Architect in Lloydminster has been contributing valued Architectural Designs in Lloydminster and surrounding areas since 2010. TY Architecture, a joint venture with Universal Consulting Group Ltd. has been creating elegant and functional buildings in and around the Border City and beyond. We are extremely pleased and excited in this joint business venture.

Erin graduated from Lakeland College in Vermilion, Alberta with a diploma in Interior Design Technology in 2004 and has been working with UCG ever since. She became lead residential home designer in 2006 until winter of 2013 when she was promoted to commercial design.

Erin has also been directly involved in the selection of finishes and colours for several projects over the years including: Onion Lake Energy, Westlake Dental, Two Hills Curling Arena, and Meridian Health Centre to name a few.

In recent years, Erin has taken on the role of project co-ordinator on several commercial projects and maintains First Aid to ensure compliance and safety on sites.

Shari graduated from Southern Alberta of Technology in Calgary, Alberta, with a diploma in Architectural Technology. She worked for a home builder in Calgary for two years before starting her family. Shari received her realtor license in 2000 giving her another perspective to draw from. She started with UCG in April 2006 as a residential design technologist and has since been promoted to lead Residential Designer with some involvement in commercial projects.

Kim Ackerman graduated from Saskatchewan Polytechnic with a diploma in Architectural and Interior Technology. As a student, Kim was placed with UCG for her practicum and was officially hired on full time when she graduated in 2014.

Kim has designed and drafted a variety of projects upon joining our team including spaces in the LloydMall, shops and numerous houses and renovations.
